Job Title: IT Support Administrator

Location: Edinburgh (hybrid)

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 annually (pro rata), dependent on experience

Job type: Part time - Permanent

Working hours: 3 days, 21 hours (We open to flexible arrangements, including spreading the contracted hours across mornings or afternoons. Alternatively, we are open to discussing a schedule with fewer hours spread over more days.)

Annual Leave entitlement: 21 days

Job summary:

In your role as IT Support Administrator, you will be required to aid the IT Business Partner in the delivery of all IT functions at Scotland Food & Drink. At SF&D, you will be part of a friendly, collaborative, and supportive team. This is a varied role working across the full staff body.

About the role:

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting colleagues with IT-related issues as first point of contact for technical support queries
• Maintaining robust cyber security measures
• Supporting the IT Manager with projects as and when required
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and training materials
• Configuration and rollout of laptops, mobiles and other hardware to staff
• Create, maintain and refine IT processes and procedures across the company
• User account creation and permissions management
• Planning and guiding IT systems training sessions for SF&D staff
• Identify and deploy technical solutions for use by internal teams as required by project needs
• Carry out preventative maintenance work on IT equipment
• Work and maintain relationships with external suppliers

About you

The successful candidate will have / be:

• Ability to handle highly confidential information and maintain compliance with The Data Protection Act and GDPR
• Good organisational and time management skills and proven ability to prioritise and work to a deadline
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative team player, with strong people skills, working with and supporting teams across the organisation
• Clear communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Familiarity with using and administering the Microsoft 365 and Azure AD / Entra ID environments
• Engaging and positive individual, with a flexible attitude, keen to support team initiatives and focused on delivery of exceptional service
• Self-motivated, willing to take initiative and prioritise duties
• Ability to quickly learn and grasp new systems and technologies
• Experience in similar role or equivalent educational background is ideal
