The IT team, currently consisting of the Chief Information Officer and the IT Director, oversees all activities in the US, UK, and Greece.
Role: IT Support Technician
The IT Support Technician plays a vital role in providing daily IT support and device maintenance to our client's extended team. The successful candidate will ensure that systems hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures align with organizational values, facilitating successful operations for staff, interns, and partners.
Location:
The IT Support Technician is based in London, UK, and collaborates closely with the team on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
- Addressing general queries:
- Windows OS Installations
- Thin Client Installations
- Laptop Replacements
- Antivirus & Security Software installation
- New user setups
- Responding to Helpdesk requests
- Basic Network Troubleshooting
- MS Office Installations & Troubleshooting
- Providing essential admin support to the team when called upon (data entry; online research; documentation; deliveries; expense reports, etc).
Required Education and Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or relevant field
- 1-2 years of 1st line support experience
- Motivated, determined, proactive, and eager to acquire new knowledge and skills
- Team-oriented
- Ability to identify, address, and escalate problems
- Excellent English communication skills - both verbal and written
- Laptop & Desktop formatting knowledge
- Basic Network understanding / troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware
- Experience with printer installation & troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11
- Knowledge of Active Directory
- Antivirus Systems
A Plus but Not Essential:
- Certification as IT Technician (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
- Knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization technologies
- File sharing & access management
- Device Local Group Policy Editing
- Basic Microsoft Exchange Administration
