Your new company
This multi-academy trust has over 30 schools across the UK, with plans for this to continue expanding to upwards of 50 schools, and it is therefore imperative that each school has the correct support in place to ensure this successful growth. This particular role will be based at a secondary school in East Manchester, where you will report to the IT Manager and provide a high level of IT support on a daily basis. Your new role
Reporting to the IT Manager, you will work as part of a team responsible for providing IT support to end users across the school, including pupils, staff and Senior Leadership, as well as any potential visitors to school. This role will be site based 5 days a week and offers the opportunity to become skilled in providing all round IT support, as you will support with hardware, software, networking and specific educational technologies. On a daily basis, you will provide technical support across the school ensuring that both IT systems and cloud platforms are performing efficiently, as well as handing any incident requests in line with agreed SLA's. As you will be working in the education sector, you will also be dealing with specific educational technologies on a daily basis, such as interactive whiteboards, AV equipment, sound systems and certain management information systems and third party systems. This will regularly involve the installation and maintenance of both new and existing systems, detecting any potential issues and ensuring that senior leadership are aware of any upcoming IT projects. Working as part of a wider IT team, you will attend regular training and development sessions, with these heavily focused around cloud and cybersecurity.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess 1st line IT support experience, coupled ideally with experience of working in the education sector. You will be seeking a role where you are able to further develop your IT knowledge, as well as looking to become an integral part of a well established IT team offering further progression. Experience working in a cloud environment, as well as experience dealing with education sector-specific technologies would also be beneficial.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will be paid a competitive salary of between £28,000 and £31,000 with regular reviews and increases, as well as a one-off payment of £1500 after 2 years employment.
