It Technician

Our IT department is actively seeking an energetic and motivated IT technician. In this capacity, the chosen candidate will be instrumental in the hands-on support and maintenance of our IT systems. Interacting across all departments, the IT Technician will play a crucial role in swiftly resolving technical issues, ensuring seamless operations, and supporting the organization's commitment to technological innovation and excellence.

Role and Responsibilities

• - Manage Microsoft 365 applications, ensuring optimal performance.
• - Administer and secure Linux-based servers within an on-premise network.
• - Configure and maintain virtual machines using VMware.
• - Provide efficient tier-one technical support to end-users.
• - Utilize ticketing systems for incident tracking and resolution.
• - Offer remote assistance for users.
• - Implement and adhere to security best practices.
• - Familiarity with scripting for task automation to streamlining operational processes.
• - Communicate effectively with end-users and team members.
• - Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• - Apply analytical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues.
• - Collaborate within a small team environment, contributing to knowledge sharing.
• - Demonstrate adaptability in dynamic IT environments.
• - Monitor system performance and generate reports on key metrics.
• - Regular business trips to our sites and our Data Center (approximately once a month)

Candidate Profile:

• - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• - Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration.
• - Linux server management.
• - Virtualization (VMware).
• - Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• - Implement and maintain security best practices.
• - Basic scripting for task automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• - Provide tier-one support.
• - Ticketing system proficiency.
• - Remote support experience.
• - Document procedures and configurations.
• - Monitor system performance and generate reports.
• - Fluent English & French
