About The Role
We are looking for a committed and self-motivated IT Technician to be part of a dynamic shared services team responsible for delivering a high performing ICT service. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-looking and fast-moving team.
If you have a positive approach, excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to identify issues and implement solutions, then this is the role for you!
What you’ll be getting up to
- You will provide technical support to colleagues across the councils on the ICT helpdesk.
- You will work flexibly to support service provision, including supporting council meetings.
- You will identify solutions for ICT helpdesk calls, escalating issues to other team members where necessary.
- You will collaborate with team members to implement IT solutions and projects.
- You will install, configure, and maintain computer systems and servers.
- You will set up and manage user accounts and permissions.
- You will install and upgrade software applications and operating systems.
Who we’re looking for
- A team player who will work closely with your immediate team and across the wider ICT team within both councils.
- The ability to solve problems and find solutions to technical problems.
- An individual who keeps up to date with the latest IT trends, technologies, and best practices through continuous learning and professional development. An individual with experience of working as an IT Technician or within a similar role.
