About the teams
Business Development Team
The business development team assists the business in developing, monitoring, and instigating new business opportunities as well as providing Management Information (MI) to the wider organisation.
Client Risk Team
A first line of defence team of four acting as risk guardians to the front office in respect of:
- The monitoring and reporting of client risk;
- Management and continued education of operating controls and
- Data security and the embedding of a secure behaviour culture.
Overview of role/ Principle Responsibilities
You will be working within these dynamic and fast growing teams, providing pivotal support to both teams and the front office teams from each of our Wealth Management locations worldwide.
Key responsibilities
Business Development Team
- Support the Business Development team in running and distributing reports by analysing data and producing effective MI;
- Support Business Development initiatives, including meeting administration, maintenance of materials and distribution of regular reports;
- Ensure that Salesforce data is fit for purpose by supporting the front office teams with their input;
- Creation of new contacts using CRM system and quarterly audit;
- Monitor licence requests;
- Recording new opportunities, referrals onto salesforce as instructed by the business;
- Assist the business with ad hoc intel requests which includes research and analysis of UHNW individuals, companies and events to produce dossiers using a wealth mining database and search engines and
- Assist with client enquiries – monitor phone line and client enquiries.
Client Risk Team
- Prepare, monitor and distribute core client risk exercises;
- Act as point person for queries in relation to core exercises, escalating where necessary;
- Producing management information for regular committees and or ad hoc requests arising there from;
- The role will involve working closely with IT and WM members, developing improvements to measurements and ensuring WM staff can understand, access and respond to measurements and tasks as efficiently as possible (where systems allow) and
- Continued development and enhancing of the various client risk exercises, through seeking feedback and subsequent implementation.
Both teams
- Update and maintain the BD and Client Risk Intranet Sites and dashboards.

- Analytical in regard to identifying problems; innovative in solution design;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with all levels of seniority;
- Ability to work on own initiative within a team environment, prioritising and organising work to ensure high quality and timely outputs;
- Meticulous attention to detail with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency;
- Ability to manage multiple workloads and deadlines;
- Demonstrate an ability to analyse and interpret data;
- Aptitude towards data management and science;
- Keen to learn new systems and tools that will assist the team/department and
- Team player with a desire to share knowledge/problem solving with colleagues.
Required Skills
- Advanced level of Microsoft office, particularly Excel and Word;
- Excellent organisation skills;
- High attention to detail;
- Excellent written communication skills;
- Understanding of assets held in wealth management portfolios and
- Working knowledge of data analytic products.
Discharge of Responsibilities
The role holder shall ensure that their responsibilities are performed to the highest levels of integrity, quality and transparency and in a manner most likely to promote the success of Wealth Management and the Schroders Group, in a manner that is sensitive to the risk profile of the regulations and issue(s) at hand.
In discharging their responsibilities, the individual shall establish appropriate structures for all areas under their control and shall fulfil their key responsibilities in full.
Reporting obligations
In discharging their responsibilities, the individual shall:
- Ensure that the Head of Business Development and the Head of Client Risk or in their absence a member of ManCo is made aware of any issues, in a timely manner, which in the their view are material and which should be communicated to the CEO, Wealth Management and/or the Board and
- Provide their line manager with an annual assessment of their own performance against agreed objectives.
Committee Memberships
Where applicable, role holder must fulfil their responsibilities for their Committee Memberships.
Prudential Regulation Authority (“PRA”) and Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”)
The role is within an entity which is covered by the Senior Manager and Certification Regime (SMCR). As such, all staff are expected to comply with the Individual Conduct Rules for both PRA and FCA. These are:
