Overview:
Our client is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Property Manager with a keen interest in the property industry to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude towards learning and taking on new responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Management:
- Assist the senior Property Manager in the day-to-day management of residential properties, including maintenance coordination, tenant communication, and lease administration.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess condition, identify maintenance issues, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with tenant move-in and move-out procedures, including conducting inspections, documenting property condition, and handling security deposits.
- Facilitate the leasing process, including screening potential tenants, drafting tenancy agreements, and conducting move-in and move-out inspections.
- Foster positive relationships with tenants to promote tenant satisfaction and retention.
- Being pro-active in chasing arrears and management issues, whilst updating both tenants and landlords on such issues.
Viewings:
- Arrange and conduct property viewings for prospective tenants, showcasing properties.
- Negotiate rental terms and conditions between tenants and landlords.
- Prepare tenancy agreements, rental applications, and other relevant documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with tenant referencing, credit checks, and other screening procedures to ensure the suitability of prospective tenants.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in property management, real estate, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with tenants, landlords, and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
- A proactive and customer-focused attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- A full UK driving licence and own car.
This role primarily operates in an office environment but may require travel to properties for inspections and viewings.
