With emerging digitalisation, smart cities and IoT technologies, our client provides Smart metering solutions for water utilities - intelligent solutions for water data management. They are continuing expansion into the UK water market, and as such, they are looking for an Account Manager with a track record in a technical environment. You will spearhead account management activity in the water market and will have key skills in managing technical stakeholders and upselling and cross selling through networking, tendering processes, and leveraging professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- The role is both hands on in its scope and strategic in its reach.
- You will spearhead the sales and account management activity in the area of water
- leading by example and actively driving forward sales activity through networking, tendering processes and leveraging professional relationships.
- You will significantly contribute to the sales revenue within the UK market and the achievement of ambitious growth goals.
- Significant involvement in the bidding and tender processes in order to bring in new business.
Skills and experience required:
- 4+ years’ experience in managing large corporate customers in a technical environment.
- Experienced in upselling and cross selling
- Communication skills of the highest quality and an aptitude to provide expert advice to customers with the confidence to communicate complex issues and solutions.
- Well established time management and organisation skills
- Willingness to travel in the UK/occasionally Europe
- Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
- Understanding of metering products and related software solutions is beneficial
- Water industry experience is highly desirable
