Now let us tell you about the role:
- Supporting the Key Account Management team with the development of recurring standard and bespoke customer financial and environmental reports, providing ad-hoc reports on request.
- Production of recurring reports to given KPI deadlines each period.
- To provide commercial support to the KAMs, Tenders, Nationals and Sales teams, including building and amending profit and loss models, ensuring costings are accurate and up to date.
- Reviewing profitability of a wide range of services and highlighting areas of low margin.
- Supporting KAM’s and Finance in the application and checking of price increases.
- Working with the accounts and credit control teams to calculate credits and ensure accuracy.
- Ensuring financial mobilisation of new work is applied the company ERP system correctly.
- Aiding IT and Finance in checking of invoices to ensure invoicing is accurate and complete.
- Assisting staff and customers with environmental reports to explain and/or fix unique cases.
- Producing written guides to aid staff and customers with usage of reports and the portal.
- Fulfilling requests for compliance documents and data, providing such in a matrix where required.
- Ensuring values of issued PO’s match the weights of the collections, and that the rates are correct before being delivered to customers with a sufficient explanation of what is contained when applicable.
- Providing bespoke invoice backing data to for to be sent at the start of the month alongside invoices.
- Submitting financial data for frameworks ensuring submissions match with finance for accrual.
- Liaising with Reports teams regarding problems and changes to Power BI reports and underlying scripts.
- Employees may be required to undertake additional responsibilities or tasks as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the company.
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Excellent numerical skills
- Proven, strong, analytical background and able to demonstrate a robust methodology to problem solving.
- Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office
- Able to listen to and understand and interpret requirements, whilst adhering to processes.
- Logical and organised with excellent time management
- Ability to prioritise workload, make decisions and meet challenging deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to understand when self-help is required and ask for it
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Power BI (desirable but not essential)
