Job Description:
As a Kitchen Porter at Salt and Pepper, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team and maintaining cleanliness and organisation in our kitchen environment. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

1. Dishwashing:

• Ensuring all equipment and tubs are cleaned and sanitised promptly.

2. Kitchen Cleaning:

• Cleaning and sanitising kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Emptying rubbish and recycling bins regularly and ensuring waste is disposed of properly.
• Assisting with general kitchen cleaning tasks as needed.

3. Stock Management:

• Keeping inventory of cleaning supplies and notifying management when supplies need to be replenished.
• Supporting kitchen staff in maintaining stock levels of essential items.

4. Support Tasks:

• Assisting chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as boiling rice.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Following all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality.
• Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £10.00-£11.42 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 20 per week
