We're passionate about providing an authentic Irish pub experience, complete with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and friendly service. As we gear up for our grand opening, we're seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Kitchen Porters and Bar Backs.
Role Overview: As a Kitchen Porter or Bar Back, you'll play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen or bar area. Whether you're keeping the kitchen clean and organised, assisting with food preparation, or ensuring the bar is well-stocked and ready to serve customers, you'll be an essential part of our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry and contribute to the success of a new and exciting venture.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Porter:
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
- Empty and clean trash bins to ensure a tidy and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Help with receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
- Follow health and safety protocols and adhere to food handling guidelines.
- Support the kitchen team as needed to ensure efficient and timely service.
Barback:
- Assist bartenders with stocking and replenishing bar supplies, including glassware, ice, and garnishes.
- Keep the bar area clean and organised, including wiping down surfaces and disposing of empty bottles and cans.
- Prepare garnishes and condiments for drinks, such as slicing fruit or preparing cocktail garnishes.
- Assist with changing kegs and maintaining draft beer systems.
- Monitor and restock beer coolers, wine racks, and other beverage storage areas.
- Provide support to bartenders during busy periods to ensure smooth bar operations.
Qualifications:
- No previous experience is required for either position; we're looking for enthusiastic individuals with a willingness to learn and contribute to our team.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
