Learning Support Assistant

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be a crucial part of our mission to create an environment where every student can thrive academically and personally, regardless of their social, emotional, or mental health challenges. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide individualized support and implement strategies that promote positive behavior and wellbeing.

Salary Scale: £75-£90 
Contract Type: Full-time  
Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant: 

• As an Learning Support Assistant you will provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs. 
• Implement strategies and interventions to support the social and emotional development of students. 
• As an Learning Support Assistant  you will  collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to address specific needs. 
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. 
• As an Learning Support Assistant you will  monitor and assess the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents. 
• Contribute to the development and implementation of behavior support plans. 

Qualifications and Skills of a Learning Support Assistant :

• Proven experience in a similar Learning Support Assistant role is advantageous. 
• Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs. 
• As an Learning Support Assistant you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents. 
• As an Learning Support Assistant you will have or be willing to learn knowledge of relevant SEMH strategies and interventions.
