Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working with children with ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and other SEN? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a 1:1 Support Learning Support Assistant.
SEN 1:1 Support Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, including ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and other learning challenges.
- Address social and emotional needs of students, creating a supportive and nurturing environment.
- Utilise behavioral management techniques to support students with challenging behaviors.
- Apply various learning methods and strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support student progress.
- Support non-verbal students in communication and interaction within the classroom environment.
SEN 1:1 Support Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and other learning challenges.
- Knowledge and understanding of social and emotional needs of children with SEN.
- Strong behavioral management skills and ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors.
- Experience working with non-verbal children and implementing communication strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in SEN support or education are desirable.
