The School of Modern Languages is seeking a Lecturer in French (Teaching and Research pathway) The successful applicant will deliver high-quality and research-led teaching, predominantly at undergraduate level, and contribute to the research record of the School through commitment to carrying out research leading to the publishing of high-quality research. They will pursue excellence in research, teaching and enterprise and inspire others to do the same. The School particularly welcomes applications from candidates who are able to deliver teaching in French Culture, History, and Language and a research profile that fits within one or several of our School research themes (History and Heritage, Global Language Based Area Studies, Transnational Cultural and Visual Studies). The post is full time (35 hours per week), available from 1 August 2024, and fixed term until 15 August 2025 to provide cover for research leave.
