Geldards LLP is a leading regional law firm with offices in Cardiff, Derby, Nottingham and London. We are currently recruiting for a Legal Administrator to join our Education team in our London office.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out office administration including: typing, creating, amending, formatting, scanning and copying documents, opening /closing files and archiving original documents using case management system;
- Liaising with clients and handling queries;
- Receive and sort internal and external mail
- Maintenance of files, ensuring all paperwork is filed accurately and in a timely fashion;
- Requesting files and documents from storage;
- Arranging meetings as requested including, equipment and catering;
- To deal courteously and promptly with colleagues in relation to any instructions or queries arising;
- Any other reasonable duties as required by a Partner to ensure the smooth running of the team and firm.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A law degree is highly desirable but not essential;
- Ability to work in a cross functional manner as is necessary to meet the Firms’ goals;
- To be well turned out and presentable in order to be client facing should the need arise (for example, collecting ID for copying and witnessing documents);
- Strong client care skills with the ability to project a professional image and deal confidently with clients;
- Excellent communication skills – dealing with telephone clients in a courteous, friendly, personable, helpful and professional manner;
- Good project management and organization skills, which include the ability to prioritise work to meet strict deadlines;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Self- motivated and able to use own initiative;

- 35 hour working week - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to a maximum of 30 days for additional years of service)
