A well established, community driven firm in the Greater Manchester area are looking to recruit a Legal Cashier to join their accounts department in their Oldham office.
The firm is a big advocate of serving the local community, both in their work and by committing to various charitable events, including but not limited to MacMillan coffee mornings and sponsored running events.
 
The successful Legal Cashier will be part of a busy accounts department and will report into the Accounts Manager.
Ensuring full compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules, your main job role will consist of but not be limited to the following:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including compliance with regulatory bodies and in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues
- Banking and production of cheques when required.
- Processing incoming / outgoing CHAPS and BAC payments using online banking.
- Processing bills sent to clients by fee earners.
- Checking conveyancing completion packs.
- Entering the credit accounts to the ledgers, such as HM Land Registry statements.
- Processing card payments from clients.
- LAA contract reporting and processing.
- Reporting to Accounts Manager and Partners
