As a Legal Accounts Cashier, your responsibilities will include monitoring bank accounts for accuracy, reconciling payments, and determining profits and liabilities to suppliers, partners, and clients. You will ensure timely payments to clients and suppliers while also managing sales invoices through our CRM system, Xero, and dispatching them to partner firms. You will also conduct monthly client account reconciliations and identify opportunities for finance process improvements to implement. Additionally, you will manage bank reconciliations on Xero, daily ledger monitoring on our CRM system, Pro Claim, and oversight of billing team mailboxes. Your close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders resolves queries regarding sales invoices, payments, and various requests as they arise.
Hours of Work: Full time, Permanent, 5 days per week (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm)
Legal Accounts Cashier Requirements:
* A sound understanding of SRA rules
* Experience of using Proclaim, Microsoft Office and Xero would be beneficial but not essential
* Attention to detail, problem solving skills, and sound written and verbal communication skills essential to this role.
* An ability to work on one's own initiative and to organise and prioritise own workload.
* An ability to process and record all financial transactions in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SARS) and Company internal procedures
* Be proficient with MS Excel
* Be able to maintain high standards of work when under pressure and within deadlines
* Create and maintain effective professional relationships with referrers negotiating confidently when required
* Keep up to date with all legislation and regulatory changes pertinent to the role
