SalaryEventus Recruitment are seeking a Junior Legal Cashier for a law firm based in Didsbury, Greater Manchester. You will join a busy accounts team assisting their Managing Partners, dealing with Conveyancing, Civil Litigation and Housing disrepair. Offering 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, fully office based in a central location with the opportunity of flexible working after a successful probation period.
Role Responsibilities
The incoming Junior Legal Cashier will have previous knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Outlook/Office. Key tasks will include:
- Dealing with incoming payments/ cheques (both client and office).
- Knowledge of how a client account works.
- Processing billing.
- Dealing with outgoing payments.
- Using an online payment facility.
- Purchase ledger.
- Dealing with supplier accounts (medical agencies, engineers, search providers etc).
- File closure and administration.
- Conveyancing completions and billing.
- Dealing with Reports.
Person Specification
The successful Junior Legal Cashier will ideally have previous accounts experience within a law firm. You will also have:
- Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Outlook/Office.
- Previous experience with Proclaim system is desirable.
- Professional and able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Outgoing and personable with a professional and confident phone manner.
- Good attention to detail.
- Organised, self-motivated but can also work as part of a team.
