Legal Cashier/ Accounts Assistant
Salary: £24,000- £27,000
Location: Harrogate
Working hours: 08:30 - 17:30

Are you AAT or ILFM qualified?
Are you an experienced Legal Cashier?
Do you have excellent interpersonal skills?
Do you have knowledge of Purchase Ledger?

The Opportunity
You’ll play an important role in a well-known legal firm in which their focus is building good relationships with clients’ and focusing on their needs and aspirations. Your organisational prowess, efficiency and interpersonal skills will be essential to this role. As you grow and develop you will have the opportunity to take on specific training and responsibility towards your own self-development.
The Role
The Legal Cashier will be responsible for managing financial transactions within a legal setting, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining accurate financial records.
We are looking for a candidate to undertake all accounting and cashier duties, including:

• Deal with the petty cash system
• Assist with preparation of the VAT returns
• Opening of new matters on the system and ensuring all due diligence (AML forms) are completed in accordance with the firm’s compliance manual
• Process client and office account transactions efficiently and accurately
• Handle bank reconciliations and monitor account balances

Our Ideal Candidate
At this stage of your career, you will have experience as a Legal Cashier looking for your next position within a legal firm.
Furthermore, we are looking for:

• Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules November 2019
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong literacy, numeracy skills ensuring accuracy at all times
• Experience of using Microsoft Excel
