Are you a Legal Cashier looking for a new role based in the centre of Harrogate?
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and capable Legal Cashier to join their Accounts Team located in Harrogate town centre. In supporting the Practice Manager, you will provide accounts and cashiering within the business.
Skills Required:
• Previous experience as a cashier within a solicitors
• Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules 2019
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong IT skills, knowledge of excel advantageous.
• AAT or ILFM part or fully qualified desirable
Key Responsibilities:
• Cashiering and accounts maintenance
• Processing banking and accounting transactions
• Reconciliation
• Preparation of cheques & bank accounts
• Review and process solicitors’ bills
• Processing receipts and payments
• Purchase Ledger
• Working within compliance guidelines
• Administration of staff holidays
• Assist the practice manager with month and financial year end procedures.
• Petty cash
• Assist with preparation of VAT returns.
In return you will be offered:
• Salary £23-26,000
• Office hours of 8.30-5pm, can consider a 3 day week
• 24 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Town centre location
