Job Description:
As an Associate Director in M&A Origination, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our M&A practice. Your responsibilities will include:
Deal Origination:
Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities by conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and maintaining a robust network of industry contacts.
Proactively engage with potential clients, understanding their strategic objectives, and aligning them with suitable M&A solutions.
Relationship Management:
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investment bankers, legal advisors, and other professionals in the M&A ecosystem.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the deal origination process.
Market Analysis:
Monitor and analyze market conditions, industry developments, and competitive landscapes to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
Contribute to the development of thought leadership content, presenting the firm as an industry authority.
Due Diligence Support:
Assist in the due diligence process by coordinating information exchange, conducting preliminary financial analysis, and supporting the overall deal evaluation.
Deal Execution Support:
Collaborate with deal teams in structuring transactions, preparing pitch materials, and participating in client presentations.
Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the successful execution of M&A transactions.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in M&A origination, investment banking, or related fields.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proven track record of successfully originating and closing M&A transactions.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
