Maintenance Manager – The Role:
Currently an exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and proactive Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for managing all aspects of company’s maintenance and site facilities functions including Production plant and equipment, Services, Building Infrastructure and Projects.
Duties to include:
- Deliver efficient running of Production plant and associated infrastructure and minimise downtime.
- Delivering robust PPM program and the efficient response to equipment breakdown scenarios.
- Manage the CMMS ensuring that it reflects all current and future maintenance work.
- Identify, organise, and manage contractors on site to perform in line with H&S requirements – Permit to work etc.
- Ensure all relevant documentation and paperwork is stored in compliance with Quality Management and Regulatory standards.
- To drive the development and maintenance of manufacturing facilities to support GMP and quality standards.
- On call for any site emergency issues.
- Maintain and manage equipment, to ensure the provision of services.
- Ensure statutory inspections, for example lifting equipment, pressure vessel and internal inspections for example emergency lighting, asbestos condition, access platform, ladder checks are completed to schedule.
- Ensure all people carrying out engineering functions on site perform to HSE requirements.
- To identify and develop strategic opportunities for service provision in the medium and long term.
- Motivate, Mentor and support the Maintenance Team to improve development and performance.
- Deliver appropriate training and development of the maintenance team and maintain the Skills / Training matrix.
- Responsibility for relevant budget cost centres.
- Present CAPEX justification reports.
- Develop Continuous improvement culture and lead improvement projects.
- Identify critical spares and manage inventory.
Maintenance Manager– Key skills / abilities:
- Experienced Mechanical & Electrical Engineer
- Previous experience of working in food, pharma, packaging, or medical device sector would be beneficial
- Experience of managing Multi skilled Maintenance engineers.
- Knowledge and understanding of safety systems and legislation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of budget preparation and management.
- Able to get on with and influence people both internally and externally to achieve objectives.
- Operating to GMP standards within a medical device facility.
- Knowledge of steam and chemical processes preferred.
- Necessary to be hands on to support Maintenance team.
