Management Accountant

Job Description
SRM are delighted to have partnered with a leading utilities business to hire a Financial Analyst to start immediately on a 15 month fixed term contract basis.
The aim of your role is to provide support on the monthly reporting cycle, forecasting and business planning processes, and to maintain and develop relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Duties
Month End Reporting
- Review indirect costs, prepare and post journals, produce monthly financial performance packs, lead on monthly overhead review meetings.
Budgeting, Forecasting and Business Planning
- Support annual budget and business plan, prepare budget submissions & reconcile on accounting system, carry out analysis on key areas of spend.
Analysis
- Monitor KPI's, review financial performance against benchmarks, support business engagement, review monthly internal procedures.
Systems Development -
Support teams on integrity, development, and enhancement of financial accounting, reporting, and planning systems.
Candidate specification
Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
Experience of management accounting, or previous work experience within an analytical role, ideally obtained in a commercial environment
Strong Excel capabilities
Knowledge of Microsoft D365, Atlas and Prophix (desirable)
