Description
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for review
- Review of P&L to ensure compliance with group finance, including appropriate commentary
- Regular review of key balance sheet reconciliations
- Undertake VAT returns and provide monthly intercompany balances
- Support the Financial Controller to design and maintain financial controls
- Own the fixed assets register and review P&L and balance sheets to ensure compliance with group policies
- Develop internal reporting frameworks
- Support wider business projects
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed financial reports and statements.
- Support wider finance team, and mentor junior team members
- Optimise accounting processes and operations for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Engage in continuous process improvement
- Report to management on financial status and performance.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- Professional certification such as CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work as part of a team.
