Job Title: Management Accountant - AB Dairy (part of AB Agri)
Location: Peterborough, Cambs, UK - Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
Are you studying ACCA, CIMA or AAT? Do you have Management Accounts experience and looking to grow your business partnering and commercial exposure? This is a great opportunity to join the AB Dairy finance team providing our B2B division with financial support - Trident MicroNutri, Trident and Amur. Its an exciting time to join us as AB Dairy continues to grow rapidly and we expand our product offering to our farm and business customers.
Reporting to our Finance Business Partner in a small tight knit team, you will work closely with the FD, FC and Head of Business Performance on a daily basis and build positive relationships with your internal stakeholders in operations, product and category management. This will be a varied, hands on role that will involve overseeing the general ledger and making any adjustments, accruals and prepayments as necessary and reconciling the accounts to preparing Management Accounts and coordinating the budget and forecast process for your divisions.

What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for accurate and robust reporting including calculation & posting of all journals and any ad-hoc invoice coding
- Preparation & management of balance sheet reconciliations
- Controls – Monitoring compliance with the Financial Controls Framework
- Build professional relationships with your business area's to influence, engage and continually promote business performance
- Prepare & submit monthly/quarterly/annual returns
- Management Reporting – regular reporting of various B2B product lines and Global Dairy financial statements, including variance analysis commentary.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Assist the B2B Finance Business Partner, Global Dairy Financial Controller, Global Dairy Head of Business Performance, as well as other members of the Global Dairy Finance team, with ad hoc requests and provide cover where necessary
What you'll bring:
- Part qualified accountant - ACCA/CIMA or AAT qualified
- Proven Management accounts experience
- An understanding of and ideally some experience of Budget and forecasting processes
- Good analytical skills
- Strong Finance system experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Diligent with good attention to detail and curious with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work towards tight deadlines and prioritise
