We are growing and developing our business, and we are currently looking for an experienced accountant to join our busy Finance team.
The Management Accountant will be working from Halkin’s Head Office in the City of London 5 days a week and will take responsibility for the financial monitoring and reporting of the Company and its subsidiaries. They will be responsible for producing financial reports and providing support to all departments of the company.
Specific Responsibilities
Main responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Day to day support of Halkin’s financial operation, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and project reviews.
- Production of monthly management accounts and reports, explaining variances and providing analysis where required.
- Supporting the preparation of the annual budgets including cashflows, variance analysis etc.
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Registers.
- Preparation of VAT reconciliations and returns.
- Preparation of P11D submissions & end of year returns.
- Supporting the Financial Controller with Audits, Banking & Tax and Capital reviews and other financial needs as necessary.
- Ad-hoc financial modelling for projects and finance.
- Tracking of the Company's financial performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
- Maintenance of financial policies and procedures for the Companies.
- Providing support to department heads and other team members where needed
- Support Commercial finance modelling of new projects to support the business objectives.
- Contract and commercial law as it overlaps finance in real estate companies.

Qualifications/Skills Required
- Formal accountancy qualification, e.g. ACCA / CIMA (desired)
- Proficiency with QuickBook’s accounting software (desired not essential)
- Proficiency with Excel to an intermediate level
- Ability to prepare management accounts within a sensible timeframe
- Real estate commercial and business acumen (desired not essential)
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good understanding of business principles and practices
- Good attention to detail
