Your new company has been in the local market for over 150 years and continues to be highly profitable in their field. With production capabilities on a number of continents, the company has grown organically from it's origins and continues to hold it's outstanding reputation in the market. As the current Management Accountant approaches retirement, the company is seeking their successor to continue within the finance function.
Your new role
The Management Accountant will be responsible for reporting to the Finance Director and providing services to 3 Northern-based sites, reporting to the board on financial performance. A big duty of the role is to provide Monthly Management Accounts (General Ledger entries, Accruals, Prepayments, Reconciliations, etc..) to the Group FD, including product costing variances and budgeting for around 600 product lines. There will be a light touch of payroll, but this is mostly outsourced. The main systems used are Microsoft Dynamics Navision and SAP Concur.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate your abilities for producing Management Accounts, ideally within a manufacturing/production setting with some experience of product costing and variance. You'll be comfortable reporting back to key stakeholders on financial performance and key metrics. Experience with expense management and payroll would be a benefit. Whilst not a must, relevant qualifications for the role (AAT/CIMA/ACCA) would be a benefit, as would experience with Dynamics Navision or a similar system. The role is based 5 days on site in Penistone so you must be within a reasonable commutable distance to the offices.
What you'll get in return
The organisation are willing to offer study support to the successful individual if needed. They're considering a salary of between £40,000 - £45,000 with 25 days holidays + stats, a very good bonus scheme and an early finish on a Friday with a 36.25hr working week.
