Management Accountant

Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Mold
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm & Friday 08:30am-2:00pm
We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our clients fast growing and established FMCG company based in Mold.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare year-end accounts.
• Co-ordinate with various departments to gather operational and financial data. Analyse and interpret data to propose cost-effective ideas and improvements.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Execute month-end processes including journals, pre-payments, accruals, and reconcile the balance sheet.
• Experience in foreign exchange and export transactions is advantageous.
• Conduct insightful analysis of process costs and variances, implementing and monitoring financial and operational efficiencies. Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital.
• Collaborate with Sales & Purchase Ledger Clerks to compile data for trial balance purposes.
• Manage product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis. Recommend and implement corrective measures, update standard costs, and ensure accurate stock valuation.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and present the information, along with commentary, to the directors.
• Undertake ad hoc projects as needed, including new system implementations.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum requirement: Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA.
• Ability to engage actively with managers and participate in daily business operations is essential.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing sector is a must.
• Proficient in producing comprehensive management accounts.
• Strong IT skills and familiarity with integrated management systems are required.
• Excellent communication skills are vital for this role.
