Salary JOB TITLE: Management Accountant
JOB LOCATION: Sutton-In-Ashfield
SALARY: £40,000 (DOE)
DURATION: 12 months FTC (Fixed term contract)
HOURS: 37.5 Hours per week
SHIFTS: Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 with an early finish Fridays (12:30)
START DATE: ASAP
Client Summary:
Our client is one of Europe's largest rolling stock manufacturers. Their Sutton-in-Ashfield site builds, maintains and repairs the electronic, passenger information systems and internal communication systems on the passenger vehicles.
Job Overview:
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
* Full management of month end processes from journal preparation to completion of management accounts
* Preparation of budgets and forecasts
* Cash management including bank reconciliations and payment forecasting
* Monitoring of department costs vs budgets and forecasts
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Quarterly VAT returns and related reporting
* Oversee all transactional finance including purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash allocations and credit control
* Approval of outgoings including payroll, supplier payments and purchase orders
* Preparation and presentation of monthly site KPIs
* Management of annual audit process
* Ad hoc project work and reporting as required by Group
The Right Candidate:
* Previous experience working as a Management Accountant
* 5 + years' experience within Accountancy
* Preferably obtained or working towards CIMA
* Role is based on site, so ability to commit to being on site 100% of the time is important
