Manufacturing Quality Engineer - SE London - up to £55,000 + Bonus + Ex. Benefits - Permanent
Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of this job is to collaborate with Industrial Operations on New Product Introduction (NPI) using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies. The successful candidate will be integral in our clients' quality journey, emphasising a preventative quality approach over reactive and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Champion NPI Quality Representation: Advocate for quality in New Product Introduction processes, working closely with Industrial Operations and leading APQP initiatives.
- Preventative Quality Focus: Drive a culture of preventative quality measures, ensuring practices on the shop floor are innovative and aligned with industry best practices.
- Correct Document Issuance: Verify the correctness of documents issued on the shop floor, maintaining a keen eye on accuracy and relevance.
- Fit for Purpose Documents: Ensure all documents issued are fit for purpose, supporting seamless operations and preventing potential quality issues.
- Innovate Shop Floor Practices: Identify opportunities for innovation and industrialisation on the shop floor, particularly in meeting torque requirements and improving processes.
- Collaborate with Industrial Operations: Work closely with Industrial Operations, spending time with tooling designers and process operators to enhance manufacturing practices.
Requirements:
- Education: Relevant Engineering degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing etc.)
- Experience as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer with a strong background APQP methodology and working collaboratively.
- Knowledge of NPI Processes: In-depth understanding of New Product Introduction processes.
- Preventative Quality: Proven track record in a quality role with a focus on preventative quality measures for at least four years.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail in ensuring the accuracy and suitability of documents issued on the shop floor.
