Contract/Hours: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract, Full Time - 35 hours
The Fairtrade Foundation are recruiting a Strategic Marketing Lead to join the Marketing Team within the Communications & Advocacy Directorate. The role is new and pivotal, being brought in to help enhance our strategic communications capability and capacity in our 30th anniversary year. Sitting at the heart of the Directorate, this role will champion an insight driven and outcomes focused approach to the planning of our marketing activity to ensure that the sum of our earned, owned, and paid communications is delivering effectively against our strategic engagement objectives.
As well as working closely with the Directorate Management Team, the Strategic Marketing Lead will act as a key strategic interface with the Partnerships Directorate to assist in the development of an ever more integrated approach to our organisational agenda to grow incomes for farmers and grow the influence of our movement. As well as leading overall comms planning, the post holder will have personal responsibility for delivery of a number of special projects, allowing for a sense of ownership as well as facilitation in the role. They will also have oversight of the brand & insight, creative and digital teams, ensuring that the content we create and put out helps to build our brand recognition and resonance.
You will need to be a collaborative, creative communications strategist with experience of leading planning for household brands. You will be excellent at building and maintaining constructive relationships that allow you to both challenge and support others. You will be excited by helping teams to achieve their strategic goals through getting to the heart of the communications objective and finding the most effective route to achieve it. You will have experience of both line and upwards management and be a strongly motivated team player.
