Media Pr Officer

Our Client is seeking a Media and PR Officer on an initial 6 Month contract with the possibility of an extension.

Start Date: ASAP, 6 Month Contract

Pay Rate: 125.00 Per Day PAYE

Location: SE1 7TP

Working Hours: 09:00 - 17:30, 30 Hours Per Week.

Responsibilities:

1. Media Relations:

   • Build and maintain strong relationships with media representatives, journalists, and influencers.
   • Proactively pitch and secure media coverage in relevant outlets.
   • Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and interview requests.

2. Content Creation:

   • Develop compelling press releases, media kits, and other written materials.
   • Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, to enhance brand visibility.
   • Ensure consistency and alignment with the organization's messaging across all communication channels.

3. Crisis Communication:

   • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential issues promptly.
   • Serve as a spokesperson for the organization during times of crisis, conveying key messages effectively.

4. Event Management:

   • Plan and execute media events, press conferences, and product launches.
   • Coordinate logistics and ensure a positive experience for all media attendees.

5. Social Media Management:

   • Monitor and manage the organization's social media accounts.
   • Engage with followers and respond to inquiries, comments, and messages.

6. Brand Advocacy:

   • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance brand advocacy.
   • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a consistent brand image across all communication channels.

7. Reporting and Analysis:

   • Track and analyze media coverage and PR efforts.
   • Provide regular reports to management on key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Media and PR Officer or similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong network of media contacts.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms and other relevant tools.
• Knowledge of industry trends and emerging communication technologies.
