Main Purpose
Glen Dimplex Group is a world leader in intelligent electric heating and renewable energy solutions, as well as holding significant global market positions in domestic appliances, cooling and ventilation.

We are looking for a National Accounts Manager to join our team. The National Accounts Manager will be required to implement Commercial strategies in accordance with company goals and objectives. Increase sales by managing and developing strong working relationships with all key personnel and departments within the nominated major trade client.

The accounts allocated to the successful candidate will, to a certain degree, be dependent on experience and location.

To represent and drive all market sectors, providing the platform for all GDHV Trade Channels to succeed, including Social Housing, New Build, Commercial and Domestic opportunities.
Responsibilities

  • To establish, build, develop and maintain an excellent relationship with Trade Merchants and their customers within your designated area. Taking responsibility for driving business performance and achievement of sales targets by working closely with the Commercial Director and wider UK Sales team.
  • As part of the larger UK Sales team, you will be required to ensure your accounts contribute towards the overall team targets on Sales, Margin and Product Volumes by creating a platform that the other members of the team can work within.
  • In conjunction with point 1 above you will also be required to create and implement a business plan for each account that should include a promotional calendar to help ensure the larger team have initiatives in place that they can promote at local level. This plan will be critical to the account performing at a satisfactory level and contributing to achievement of the yearly team budget.
  • National Account customers will have their own programme of activities such as Trade Events, Exhibitions etc and it will be your responsibility to promote GDHV at these events to ensure the Company maintains a high profile both with the customer and their customer base as well. These events and business development strategies are an essential vehicle to maintaining and growing strong working relationships within the National Account.
  • Look at the wider market to identify opportunities for new products and improvements as appropriate and help contribute to the development of a robust product portfolio.
  • Engage and support all departments as required in order to strengthen account relationships.
  • To provide detailed reports on all business activity to KPI’s, opportunities, market trends, competitors and innovation.
  • Ensure all departmental tasks and functions are undertaken in a safe manner in accordance with the company Health and Safety policies, procedures and management system.

ESSENTIAL

  • Experience in sales

  • Good financial acumen and strong commercial awareness.
  • Well-developed analytical skills.
  • Strong IT skills in MS Office, Power-point and Excel

  • Client focus – understanding and meeting or exceeding the client’s needs.
  • Time management / prioritisation skills to deliver time-sensitive projects.
  • The ability to plan ahead, set goals and organise effectively to achieve objectives

  • Team player who encourages positive communication and respect

DESIRABLE


  • Previous experience in all Trade Sectors.
  • Electrical Wholesale and/or Plumbing & Heating Merchants
  • An in-depth understanding of route-to-market channels both trade (traditional B2C) & supply chain specification (social housing, new build, commercial, domestic).
