A global manufacturing business based in Birmingham specialising in the supply of core Aerospace components to the world's leading Aerospace and defence manufacturers. The company is now undergoing significant expansion across its flagship Birmingham site due to a huge influx of demand with key customers and on the back of this growth are seeking an experienced NDT Technician to join their team.
The role
A Non-Destructive Testing Engineer (NDT) who will take responsibility for identifying potential flaws and structural weakness in aviation and automotive products. Conduct testing of aircraft components and producing reports of their findings. Being aware of and complying to health and safety regulations.
You will take responsibility for:
Carrying out non-destructive testing and other inspection activities
Produce detailed reports of inspections as per client/project requirements
Maintaining accurate stock levels
Ensuring safe and effective completion of work on time and within budget
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
Previous experience of working in a manufacturing/engineering setting
A minimum level 2 NDT recognised qualification
The ability to use a wide range of tools and instruments
Computer literate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A skilled communicator who is comfortable working to deadlines and projects
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
Experience within an Aerospace setting would be highly advantageous but not essential
