Here's what awaits you:
- Research
- Deepen your knowledge of chilled food processing, using third parties to strengthen knowledge and customer feedback. Consult with stakeholders to impart understanding of novel ideas/products and learn from their feedback.
- Product Concept
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and production, to generate innovative product ideas. Evaluate the technical feasibility and market viability of proposed product concepts.
- Project Management
- Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring that milestones are met, and projects stay on schedule. Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth progression through each stage of product development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with other teams to translate product concepts into prototypes, considering factors such as taste, texture, nutritional content, and production feasibility. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop comprehensive product positioning, branding, and marketing strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure that all new products comply with relevant regulatory standards and requirements in the poultry industry. Coordinate with regulatory affairs teams to obtain necessary approvals.
- Cost Management
- Work with finance and production teams to establish cost parameters for new products. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality.
- Quality Assurance
- Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure that new products meet or exceed industry standards. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any issues during the development process.
- Testing and Validation
- Plan and conduct product testing, including sensory evaluations and consumer trials, to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments. Validate product performance and iterate as needed based on testing results.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of the product development process, including specifications, test results, and project timelines. Construct and manage specifications both internally and with customers. Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress and potential challenges.
Your Credentials:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in food science, animal science, or a related field (desirable)
- Experience in food industry innovation – chilled category desirable
- Strong project management skills
- In-depth knowledge of taking products from concept to launch, including processing methods, and industry regulations.
- A symphony of communication and collaboration skills.
