Sales and Office Administrator
D ZAMBELIS Ltd is a family-run business based in South Woodham Ferrers that has sold tools and consumables to the stone industry for more than 20 years. We have offered years of excellent service to hundreds of loyal UK customers and provide a high-quality, friendly and informative service. The placement is to join our friendly team, where is a personal culture and close communication to the owners and other employees in our new and modern premises. We are looking for someone with a dedicated work ethic and a willingness to work hard and learn quickly.
The position is for 3 to 4 full days a week, Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 5:30 pm
The position responsibilities will include:
- Manage telephone calls and transfer them to relevant departments
- Handling business correspondence via email and phone
- Assist Internal Sales Managers with sales calls
- Order office supplies and general office upkeep
- Keeping paperwork and office files up to date.
- Track parcels on courier websites
- Undertaking general office duties as required by senior members of staff.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office and technology in terms of emails and internet browsers
- Basic Bookkeeping skills are necessary
- Entering and tracking Purchase orders and Suppliers’ bills
- Creating sales spreadsheets by using formulas
- Make travel arrangements for engineers
Requirements
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, where telephone skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, email)
- Relevant customer service and sales experience with a minimum of 2 years
- Able to work independently in a busy environment
- Processing, packaging, and dispatching incoming orders; able to lift heavy boxes
- The position is office and warehouse-based
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office, as well as Windows and Mac
