The Role:
At Sullivan Upper School, an exciting opportunity awaits a skilled administrator for the role of Office Administrator withReception Duties. This pivotal position involves multitasking, maintaining a professional approach, and interacting with staff, pupils, and visitors regularly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception duties, including visitor assistance and telephone switchboard operation
- Administrative tasks, such as recording pupil absences, coordinating attendance reports, and managing school mail
- Lost property management and communication protocol
- Other administrative duties and support for the Principal, school staff and Board of Governors

Working Hours:
- 36.25 hours per week from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
- 45 minutes for lunch as well as a 10-minute morning break
- Occasional work for special events eg Open Day, SEAG Transfer days or school plays/concerts (regarded as overtime and paid for accordingly)
The Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking an efficient, friendly, and detail-oriented individual with the following qualities:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE passes (including English and Mathematics)
- 1 year's clerical/administrative experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to prioritise tasks and collaborate in a team
- Sound understanding of data protection responsibilities and the importance of confidentiality

Sullivan Upper School is a large co-educational and interdenominational voluntary grammar school situated on 25 acres of grounds on the edge of Holywood, overlooking Belfast Lough.
