Salary range: London Living Wage (£13.15 per hour – working 35 hours per week) Full-time 1-year internship contract. Working 5 days a week in the office 9.30 – 5.30 pm

JOB PURPOSE
This is the perfect opportunity to get your future started! As part of a hard-working working busy team, you'll work with the Associate Director: People and Operations and HR and Operations Officer to deliver the service levels we’re known for. We have a track record of helping internships gain a wealth of knowledge and experience that sets them up for future success.
The right person for this varied role will be committed to a career in Operations or Human Resources, flexible, motivated and always driven to provide good customer service. As an Intern, you’ll get exposure to all aspects of the business whilst working as an Operations and Human Resources Intern.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operations
- First point of contact for all staff queries, Operations and HR
- Distributing incoming post and preparing & despatch all outgoing post
- Answering the HP landline and fielding & directing calls as appropriate
- Booking of meeting rooms, set up and clearing away of items needed for meeting
- Ordering stationary and office supplies, keeping check lists up to date
- Arranging couriers & taxis as needed
- Replying to emails from the reception & info inbox forwarding to the correct person when needed
- Obtaining & administering weekly staff whereabouts on OT
- Communicating weekly whereabouts and staff rota to all staff § Manage tea & coffee stocks & ordering as necessary
- Completing the office opening & closing checks
- Coordinating general maintenance & facilities queries with Somerset House
- Ordering in office furniture as required
- Maintaining the stock list of storage in house & off-site storage
- Coordinating and organising the removal of items from the off-site storage, including scanning, and shredding old documentation.
- Keeping communal areas tidy and presentable
- Any other admin duties that may be required
- Setting up & managing zoom meetings when required
Human Resources
- Advertising recruitment roles externally using approved recruitment Job Boards.
- Shortlisting and inviting candidates to interviews and holding interview tasks/interview days.
- Supporting, coordinating and arranging interviews.
- Managing the intranet for all admin purposes.
- Supporting on arranging and coordinating and attending Company Socials.
- Supporting with training.
- Supporting with performance management.
- Supporting with mentoring.
- Supporting with onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintaining staff files on all HR systems.

Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a people service environment e.g receptionist, administration, customer service, retail, operations, Human Resources or obtaining relevant qualifications.
- Experience of working collaboratively to contribute to the successful delivery of projects and tasks.
- An active interest in Operations and Human Resources.
- Able to maintain confidentiality, discretion and security of business sensitive and confidential information.
- Must be organised, systematic and able to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.
- Evidence of being an effective team member. Must be dynamic and proactive.
- Good communication skills Good IT skills, proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite Friendly and professional
- Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn
Desirable
- Experience of scheduling and organising events from start to finish
- An active interest in classical music
