Job Title: Operations Manager – Social Housing Contractor
Location: Hertfordshire and North London
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Our reputable social housing contracting company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee projects in Hertfordshire and potentially some North London contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing £15-20 million contracts, primarily focusing on Planned Maintenance to social housing stock, Kitchen and Bathroom installations, Net Zero initiatives, and external refurbishments.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and oversee the successful execution of £15-20 million contracts, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of approximately 15 staff, including 2-3 direct reports. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Divisional Manager to develop and implement strategic plans for the division. Contribute to the growth and success of the business.
Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects that meet client expectations and industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in a similar role within the social housing construction sector.
Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
Knowledge of Planned Maintenance, Kitchen & Bathroom installations, Net Zero initiatives, and external refurbishment projects.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in the social housing sector.
