We are on a mission to generate £10,000,000 over 3 years to transform over 3000 schools around the world.

The www.globalschoolalliance.com is an industry leader our most popular offer is a Global School Transformation programmes, our community of schools is over 10000 members from 130+ countries.

Our biggest markets are the UK and China. Pre-covid we had the widest UK-China school partnership network delivering immersive student exchanges across 200 locations in the UK and 100 sites in China.

Post-covid we are rebuilding our China overseas study tours and student exchange programmes to and from China. We expect to operate 2500 travellers in 2024 and over 4000 in 2025.

Our UK China business is a multimillion-pound operation and requires a skilled experienced Operations Manager to lead the new and growing operations team.

As the products we offer are quite varied the perfect candidate may not be an expert in all areas but as your focus will be mainly in the planning, quoting, booking and operating travel programmes to the UK and to China with tour operators, travel agents and suppliers you will need to a quick learner up for a new challenge and keen to use technology to systemise our processes.

Your main products are

Business and Group travel

Liaising with travel partners for quotations.

Working with sales to create a standard travel product per region/market.

Support Commercial partnerships manager source and set up new promotion and operational partners in key countries around the world.

Contract and organise bookings with partners to deliver global travel programmes for adult and Children.

Work with sales to adjust travel itineraries with destination management companies.

Operating School Leadership delegations to and from China.

Operating Sister school student exchange trips to and from China- being responsible for delivering over 4000 passengers a year over the next 2-3 years.

Operating overseas study programmes, short term 2-week programmes in the UK and China, comprising of school immersions and travel.

Core capabilities

Very tech savvy, happy to use all social, Microsoft office, CRM’s and project management software.

The key ones we use are HubSpot, Monday.com, Microsoft 365, Xero, WordPress, zoom, teams, WeChat, WhatsApp outlook etc

Happy to learn how to work within our GSA platform and engage with educators online daily.

Very independent, organised and detail orientated.

They need to be able to whip the whole team into order to ensure smooth transition from sales to onboarding through to delivery.

In the first instance they will be very hands on in the onboarding and deliver, using our online platform to liaise with community and customers.

They will set up online events, meetings, help set appointments, email and phone follow ups. Chasing outstanding invoices, HR tasks, bookkeeping tasks etc

High levels of English and Mandarin with professional tone in documentation creations, emails, online communications.

Being clear and precise with travel bookings for team, business travel for school customers and group student bookings.

Communicating directly with China’s leading education organisations like New Oriental on WeChat daily.

Driving and organising partners, suppliers and internal teams to deliver transformational programmes smoothly, profitably and with high levels of customer satisfaction.

Highly effective at working with and managing delivery partners internationally.

We are operating across the whole of China with government partners, local travel agents, commercial education organisations, and schools directly you will need to be able to build strong relationships with them all.

Ensuring that agreements, contracts, quotes, proposals are put together clearly and concisely, ensure proper administration and filling online.

Ensuring that you protect our margin and our delivery process, negotiating and managing partners to follow our agreements and timelines.

The right candidate enjoys working in a high-intensity and sometimes high-pressure roles. Enjoys challenges and finding solutions that delight customers and contribute to transforming lives of young people all over the planet.

We are a dynamic team that work together in our Liverpool Hope Street office, it is essential that you are able to spend most of your time in the office with the operations team. You could be required to travel domestically to build supplier networks, host groups or manage camps. You could also be required to visit China for network and supplier development. We consider this a major benefit and perk of the job that you will be able to travel between the UK and China.

Attention to detail, worrying about missing things, concern over quality of delivery and being of a controlling nature are all positives for this role.

Start date:ASAP

Salary £33,000- £45,000

Location: In office - Liverpool Hope Street. Potential for 1/2 days remote working upon successful completion of a probationary period and during quieter parts of the year.

Minimum 5 year's experience in high-pressure operational and administrative roles in travel or hospitality industries.

Preferred: a strong track record in education travel, overseas study tours, tour guiding, tour operations, or comparable programmes in UK China education exchange.

Sponsor Licensed: We are able to provide a sponsorship opportunity and visa to the candidate the successfully completes a full 6-12 months and achieves targets.

Salary: £33,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
