Form of workOperations Manager – New Energy from Waste Power StationExcellent salary + car allowance + bonus + benefitsChelmsford, EssexMC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join a new build Energy from Waste power station near Chelmsford, Essex. This plant will process 595,000 tonnes of waste per year generating 49MW of energy for the national grid.The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the site is operating efficiently and effectively as possible whilst making sure environmental compliance is maintained at all times.As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:Managing the Operations department consisting of Shift Team Leaders, Plant Operators and Outside OperatorsWork closely with the HSEQ Manager to ensure all staff members are fully aware of site policies and proceduresOversee the performance of the plant and report back to the relevant managers and stakeholdersEnsure the site is always operating within the constraints of the site environmental permitLiaise with external bodies such as the EA and national gridUndertake staff appraisals, reviews and provide coaching and guidance to all operations staffDeputise for the General Manager during holidays and periods of absenceTo be considered for this role you should have:Experience at Shift Team Leader / Operations Manager / Production Manager or similar in the power generation sector.
