About Us
Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) is a small, dynamic organisation with a broad remit which commissions and manages the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcome Programme on behalf of NHS England with whom we work closely. In addition, HQIP hosts the NJR which is managed as a separate entity.
Our mission at the National Joint Registry (NJR) is to collect and analyse high quality and relevant data about joint replacement surgery in order to provide timely warnings of issues relating to patient safety.
The NJR is the largest orthopaedic and one of the most influential healthcare registries in the world with a significant international profile. It is managed by the NJR Steering Committee, designated as an NHS England ‘expert committee’ and reports through the NJR Chairman to NHS England.
We are now looking for an Operations Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role
As our Operations Manager, you will support the delivery of our key contracts and projects, contributing to an effective and responsive leadership office.
You’ll assist with the day-to-day management and delivery of activities related to contracts, projects and associated workstreams.
Developing detailed project plans, financial spreadsheets and documentation, you will support the achievement of KPIs, monitor the progress of projects and track expenditure.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage contract review cycles
- Process new change requests, business cases and Contract variations
- Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Maintain detailed records
About You
To be considered as our Operations Manager, you will need:
- Experience within operations in either the NHS or allied bodies or charity sector management
- Experience working in project management support role with a track record of success
- Experience of developing and implementing standard operating procedures
- Excellent financial management skills
- A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject
