Operations Manager - Plant Hire

Bennett and Game Recruitment are currently working with a well-established Plant Hire / Sales company who are actively seeking an Operations Manager to join their busy site in the Buckingham area.

Our client specialises in mechanical and non-mechanical Plant equipment and serves a number of industries. They also have a wide client base due to their diverse range or equipment.

Operations Manager Position Overview

• Lead and motivate office and workshop staff to achieve individual objectives
• Monitor and assess staff performances, providing realistic feedback and improvement plans
• Continuously improve standards and optimise efficiency through collaboration with colleagues
• Achieve financial budgets and performance objectives (KPI's), taking corrective action as needed
• Ensure staff compliance with company policies, systems, and procedures
• Promote teamwork through regular formal and informal team meetings
• Identify and develop profitable business opportunities with new customers and products
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers
• Liaise with the Hire department and Area Sales Representatives on hire/sales opportunities and related issues

Operations Manager Position Requirements

• Have a proven Plant Hire and management background.
• You will also have a mechanical background and technical knowledge of plant machinery such as excavators, dumpers or diggers.
• Previous experience working as a depot manager, service manager, assistant manager, or workshop manager.
• Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines and prioritise tasks
• A confident and flexible attitude
• Full UK Driving licence
• Excellent communication skills

Operations Manager Position Remuneration

• Salary 40k - 50k DOE
• Company Vehicle
