We're looking for someone with Accountancy Practice experience who is a wiz on Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and experienced with Quick Books who can provide all round support to this small, local accountancy business.

Brilliant role for someone local with the relevant experience looking for a part-time opportunity where they can get stuck in and support the partners in this busy office as part of a small team. We're looking for someone who enjoys a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks including annual accounts preparation, and has initiative, good energy and a great work ethic!The Person:

  • Accounts Assistant / Accounts Administrator experience within an accountancy practice
  • AAT qualification or part-qualified accountant
  • Comprehensive experience including annual accounts / statutory accounts preparation
  • Experience with Quick Books
  • Strong user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Local & looking for a part time office based role 20-25 hours over 3, 4 or 5 days Monday - Friday (regular working days & hours will be agreed to suit your needs, flexibility available as required)
  • Team player - Great communicator - High attention to detail - Happy to get stuck in!

The Role:

  • General ledger management
  • Preparation of weekly/monthly payroll
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Trial balance, including bank
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Control account reconciliations
  • Liaising with clients & updating client records
  • Using Quickbooks and Microsoft Office
  • Answering calls, taking messages, providing excellent customer service
  • Filing, data entry, general admin tasks as required
