Robertson Bell are excited to support this established educational institution whilst they search for a Part-Time Finance Manager on a part-time (three days per week), permanent basis. It is an exciting time to join this established, East-London based organisation who provide crucial services and support to the up-and-coming generation!
In this Part-Time Finance Manager role, you will:
- Provide crucial support to the wider organisation by meeting with budget holders on a regular basis to improve financial comprehension across the school, offer advice and guidance, and improve accountability.
- Hold oversight of the day-to-day management of the finance function, ensuring accounts are reconciled and closed in a timely manner.
- Imbed yourself into the culture of the school by doing pupil duties and overseeing breaks once a day.
- Oversee staff expenses, payroll submissions and payment runs to ensure the system is accurate and there are no delays in payment.
- Ensure that VAT returns and submissions are made in time and submitted to the local authority as required.

The successful Part-Time Finance Manager will:
- Have a thorough understanding of double entry bookkeeping and experience working in a fast-paced finance team.
- Be an up-and-coming Assistant Accountant studying towards their CCAB qualification, or a qualified by experienced Accountant.
- Be open to working in a school environment and willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
- Be an advanced Excel user and be competent performing excel functions, formulas and manipulate large sets of data.
