Management Accountant

IN2Consult / Management Accountant / 6 + months / up to £300 per day (inside) / 2 days on site / Brentford 

IN2Consult are partnering with a national energy company who need a Management Accountant to join the team for the next 6 + months. This is a part qualified or QBE role but we need someone who is an out & out Management Accountant who can stand on their own two feet & support with process improvements during their stay. Please see below the responsibilities & beneficial skills -

Responsibilities -

• Execute month-end close activities in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring the completeness of financial data and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and deferrals, maintaining detailed documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

• Reconcile and analyse key balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insightful analysis and commentary on variances.

• Maintaining and enhancing financial controls, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the accounting process.

• Participate in process improvements to streamline month-end activities and enhance overall efficiency.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for financial reporting and analysis.

Skills Required -

• Good ability to communicate & happy to challenge standard procedures to make them better.
• Strong level of MS Excel including, vlookups & pivot tables.
• Part qualified or QBE required.
• History working on different finance systems. 
• Capable of hitting the ground running.
