Cherry Professional is currently seeking candidates on behalf of our client, who requires a temporary and permanent Payroll Clerk to manage their entire payroll function.
This role requires experience in all aspects of payroll processing, including calculations, along with comprehensive knowledge of current legislation pertaining to payroll. The position will be based entirely on-site in Alfreton.
Please keep in mind that this role is due to start soon, so you will need to be on a short notice or available immediately.
About the role
- Provide expert knowledge on all aspects of
- Processing Payroll: Calculating wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintaining Employee Records: Updating and maintaining employee records, including changes in salary, status, benefits, and exemptions.
- Benefits Administration: Managing employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
- Resolving Payroll Discrepancies: Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or errors in payroll
- Generating Reports: Generating and distributing payroll reports to management and other departments as needed.
- Record keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including time-sheets, pay rates, and earnings.
Essential experience
- In depth knowledge of the full payroll processes, including all payroll
- 3 years in a payroll
- Experience of working with payroll data reconciliation and analysis of payroll
- Sage Payroll
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
