Salary: £25,000 – £30,000p.a. (pro rata)
Hours of Work: 20 hours per week – Monday to Friday (4 days wfh and 1 day a week in the office) with an immediate start.

Kameo Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting for a fully remote Part Time Payroll Officer to work for a community-based care charity whose mission has always been to provide the best quality care and support for whoever they work with.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate data is passed to the outsourced processer in a timely manner for payroll to be processed. Acting as a point of contact for payroll queries from managers, employees, and outsourced providers, you will ensure all queries are resolved effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Officer:
* Understanding and checking various pay elements to include gross pay, taxable and NIC pay and ensuring pay apportionments are correctly included.
* Updating starter and leaver information
* Processing deductions where necessary.
* The administrative considerations for voluntary deductions and salary sacrifice schemes.
* Pension schemes
* Ensuring OSP, SSP. SMP, SPL etc are paid appropriately.
* Identify and send discrepancy amendments to providers.
* Distribute payroll reports to managers and administrators.
* Supporting management with high level queries and escalations.
* Performing ad-hoc payroll requests as and when required.
* Support with annual audit and compliance requirements.
Requirements for the Payroll Officer:
Essential:
* Competent in MS Office, in particular Excel.
* Be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and an awareness of handling sensitive data, GDPR training.
* Experience of overseeing a payroll process from start to end, either inhouse or outsourced.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
* Courteous, professional, and responsive.
* Focused on delivering a high level of customer service to all stakeholders.
Desirable:
* CIPP Payroll Technician Level 3
* Experience of running payroll for hourly paid staff
