Following a successful period of growth, we're looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join this transport and logistics business based in the Alfreton area of Derbyshire.
Minimum Payroll Administrator Requirements:
- Used to working within a similar busy payroll role
- Proficient in the use of Sage Payroll or similar software
- Familiar with statutory payments and regulations
- Experience in using MS Office, including Excel
- Some experience in accounts is not essential but an advantage
The role's main focus will be to process a busy 250-employee weekly payroll that includes industrial workers and drivers. You'll also be on hand to support a busy accounts team with any tasks as they arise during quieter hours.
As Payroll Administrator you'll also be involved in:
- Ensuring payments are made promptly to employees
- Calculating statutory deductions, including any national insurance, tax and pensions
- Ad hoc deductions may include fines or damage waivers
- Calculating pay based on hours worked for zerohour workers
- Manipulating data to ensure it flows smoothly into the system from various sources
- Supporting the accounts team with general sales and purchase invoices during quieter periods.

Salary & Working Hours
£25,000 - 28,000 per annum, depending on experience
