Payroll And Accounting Technician

Exciting opportunity for a Payroll and Accounting Technician to join our client, an Accountancy Practice located in Rugby on a full time, permanent basis.

The Payroll and Accounting Technician will be tasked with preparing accounts, payroll processing, CIS processing, pension regulatory compliance and VAT returns whilst also supervising junior members of staff

The successful Payroll and Accounting Technician will be offered a very competitive salary, a varied and fulfilling role and also progression routes to Director level.

Payroll and Accounting TechnicianPosition Overview

• Accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships & limited companies
• Preparing tax computations for personal tax returns
• General bookkeeping, providing monthly and quarterly analysis.
• Managing portfolio of payroll clients.
• Submitting weekly RTI returns, dealing with HMRC enquiries.
• Providing advice to clients on a range of issues such as payroll or tax queries.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns

Payroll and Accounting TechnicianPosition Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working within an Accountancy Practice
• ACCA / ACA or qualified by experience will be considered
• Proficiency when using Microsoft packages (Excel, word)

Payroll and Accounting TechnicianPosition Remuneration

• £28,000 - £35,000 per annum
• Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm. Lunch 1 hour.
• Holidays - 28 days including bank holidays
